The Xenogears Story Analysis ended up being divided into four parts due to its length. The first part provides a summary of the main idea, the universe, the style, the most important characters, the themes, and the message of Xenogears Episode V (the game). The second and third parts examines the narrative structure, plot, and characters in more detail; and the last part examines and speculates on remaining questions and the untold parts of the larger story.

The story analysis for the Xenosaga series will mirror the style and approach I have used to examine the story for Xenogears, hence it will also be divided into four parts. But first I need to see how the story analysis for Xenogears will turn out. Since Xenosaga Episode I, II and III, along with Xenosaga: A Missing Year and Xenosaga: Pied Piper, cover about the same amount of story as Xenogears Episode V, it will all be analyzed as one whole story arc.
